In this course students will learn the theory and practice of reviewing the lively arts for a daily newspaper, students write reviews of plays, movies, television programmes, musical and dance events. This course examines critical and review writing as a specialized  form of media writing; highlighting the different principles of review writing; functions of critical and review writing; approaches, components and techniques of critical writing and how to write critical articles and reviews on fine and popular arts; and different works of art for review. It also examines fine and popular arts and the basic principles of criticism in reporting and evaluating them
